I have created a Windows 10 (64-bit) guest. I installed VirtualBox v6.0.10 in the Windows 10 guest (Windows 10 Pro – v1903 – 64-bit). I am trying to create an Ubuntu (64-bit) guest inside the Windows 10 guest. I only see 32-bit options inside the Windows guest. After several attempts to resolve this, I am still only seeing 32-bit options. VirtualBox only showing 32 bit guest versions on my 64 bit host OS? VirtualBox not showing 64 bit Windows 10 The reasons why you might experience this issue are quite diverse and include several different elements. Since a lot of elevated and BIOS level elements are involved during virtualization (Hyper-V, Hypervisor, Hardware security etc.), it might be possible that you have some options not configured properly. If the host machine is 64-bit and you are using VirtualBox to host and running your virtual machine, don’t be puzzled if your VirtualBox is showing you that it can only support for 32-bit of operating system. This isn’t “normal” and you can fix it to enable VirtualBox to support 64-bit OS. You are not restricted in running 32-bit of Windows.
Hi All,After about a month of trying to fix this, with my own businesses IT support and weeks trawling through different internet threads for fixes to try, my last hope is you clever people to help me work out what an earth I am doing wrong!
I have a brand new Dell XPS 15 9560 with Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit installed.
It has a Intel i7-7700HQ CPU capable of virtualized technology.
In the BIOS, Virtualisation and VT-D are both enabled as well as HT Technology, not that that should matter.
In Windows Features, Hyper-V is completely removed.
Yet, no matter what I do, I absolutely cannot get a latest install of Oracle Virtualbox 5.1.28 to show anything but Windows 32 bit clients, rendering it useless to me.
My platforms for testing our software ect are all Windows 7 64 bit VM's on my older lenovo laptop running Windows 7 64bit and I have never had this problem, not once!
Other things to note, we use Bitlocker, not sure that would cause a problem, doubt it.
